During our self-drive tour around Iceland we saw plenty of evidence of volcanism (lava fields, hot springs, bubbling mud pools) and glaciation (snow caps, glacial lakes & rivers) and plenty of waterfalls, including the most powerful in Europe releasing 200 cubic metres of water per second into the gorge. Fantastic scenery and near empty roads.

The photograph is of Seljalandsfoss behind which one can walk, which I did of course (and got a bit wet).
