We have made three visits to Italy. Our first was in 1993 when I was on a business trip to Florence. Sheila flew out to join me for a long weekend. We made a return visit later that year to Tuscany by flying to Pisa and staying in a hill-top town called San Gimignano. We nearly ran out of petrol on one trip and the hotel we stayed in did not have much variation for breakfast. Still, the wine was good!

Our next trip to Italy was to Rome in 2003 where we visited the Roman monuments, and our last visit was to Lake Garda in 2008 which included excursions to Venice, The Dolomite Mountains and a coach trip around the lake.
