We have visited five regions of Spain, hiring a car each time and staying mainly in Paradores.

1996: Extremadura
The region of the conquistadores with plenty of Roman architecture.
1998: Andalucia
On this holiday we visited Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda. Plenty of moorish architecture.
2002: Catalonia & Andorra
Starting at Barcelona our journey toook us as far as Andorra, finishing up at the city of Gerona (a must!).
2006: Castile & Leon
Mainly a city tour including Segovia and Salamanca.
2016: Asturias
Our journey took us through wonderful terrain: the snow covered Picos Europa, deep river gorges, mountain lakes and two cities - Oviedo and León. Wonderful, easy drive.
2019: Catalonia
A return journey but this time with friends on a 'train' holiday. This included a return visit to Girona and rides on the 'Little Yellow Train of the Pyrenees and the 'Rack Railway' in the Nuria valley.
